The fruit tastes like the triangle-love child of the big fat blackberries that are just ripening on our old stone wall, the teeny little sharp-intake-of-breath-sour morello cherries that we're picking every day from our spindly balletic little tree, and the tiny woodland strawberries that rampage across our paving stones and gravel giving us jewelled perfume and sherbet sweetness every time we step outside. It's terse with long, pencil-shaving-dust tannins. But the acidity is tender and jewelled, pooling red light in the heart of the wine.
